So much misinformation in this post. $800 off with trade for upgrades is a promo that exists. It is a loyalty offer that the system has to load into the account. The 13 mini is eligible for $800 off. Yes, it retails for $700. However this current $700 trade in credit promo seems like a pretty good deal considering we have almost 3 year old xs and xs max to trade.
